This is so true! Also, fireflies are amazing! Love me some popsicles too!
Oh, Angie, I *wish* we had fireflies here! We do have lovely summer evenings, though. I love Laura Ingalls Wilder quotes; they are becoming more relevant all the time in our crazy present day lives….
We find that with this virus we feel a bit “locked in”. Then going outside for a walk or just reading a book on the deck, revitalizes me. The BEST things in life are free! Family, chocolate ice cream and some of your cookies make the day perfect!
I have to agree with everything you said there – but not just my cookies – *any* cookies! LOL 😀 Glad you’re here!
I was just thinking this today… I was on a hike with my husband – a hike we’ve done many times before. But today, for some reason, I felt an extra added measure of pure joy, truly being present in the moment. Smelling the pines, hearing the stream and birds, breathing the fresh air, feeling the sunshine… and in really noticing it all, I felt blissfully enveloped by my surroundings.
Shauna, beautifully said. I’m so glad you had that experience. A recent trip to the mountains did the same for me! Glad you’re here.
